Walker, Brittainy 3rd grade

Meet the Teacher

Welcome Friends!

My name is Brittainy Walker and I am so thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I wanted to introduce myself to each of you, so we can get to know each other a little better.

I grew up in this community, go to church in this community, and am so thrilled to be serving here! I am married to James Walker, who is a firefighter for Gadsden City. We have a little girl, Lilly Grace, who is 7 years old. I love to spend my off time with my sweet family. We love to be on the go, chasing new adventures!

I have taught for 4 years, with three of those years being at Whitesboro Elementary School. I graduated from Sardis High School, then received my Associate degree from Snead State Community College. From there, I received my Bachelor's degree from Athens State University in 2015. Immediately after graduating, I was able to return to my alma mater for the remainder of that year to work with intervention teaching. This allowed me to see where proper foundations are needed to build upon in the elementary years.

I have always loved working with children, and truly believe God called me to this profession. Every day, I find something about my job that makes me smile, a child that makes me laugh, or a reason to come back the next day with a smile on my face.

I promise to love your babies, and help them to grow to be the best version of themselves that they can be. If you ever need me, don't hesitate to contact me!
